Rimm Chae managed to overcome the stickiness of lacquer to use pointillism in landscape, in which its matière and rich use of color creates a sense of mystique. Upon approaching closer, one can observe careful brush strokes consisting of vibrant color bands that cannot be found in ordinary oil or watercolor paintings, the viewer is instantly swept away to the intricate beauty. Each distinct dot of color creates a voluminous, vibrant landscape, and with the jewelry set on top, this piece evokes a sensual and radiant feeling of sunny warmth.
