From a distance

<From a distance> focuses on the unique nature of lacquer as a matière. Subtitled <Arirang Cantabile>, this series consists of around 150 paintings depicting various Korean landscapes. The three paintings submitted from these series paint the picturesque scenery of Jeju island, which lies south of the Korean peninsula. The minimalist elegance of these pieces well represents the traditional concept of ‘motion amidst rest.’
